I absolutely love LAMP development. I’m the type of person that thinks MAMP is the best thing to happen in recent times. Work that gets me excited is building customized and robust content management systems, websites, games, web applications, social networking sites and tools. My two biggest loves right now are Actionscript 3.0 and PHP (I’ll never quit you, PHP). Besides the fun stuff, I enjoy tackling tough CSS and standards compliant markup, DOM scripting, “AJAX”, XML and poking around with fun programs like Proce55ing. I’m looking forward to getting into Silverlight 2.0 when we get a decent release as well.

Design

My background in media arts and drawing at a five year program at the Cleveland Institute of Art lend to a keen ability to reconcile striking visuals with the effective web-standard compliant functionality I reference above. I love being thrown into a one day design, working feverishly on something until that *bam* moment hits and you feel like you’ve got something.

Direction

As well as production, my experience includes technical consultation, creative direction, and project management within a web design context. Writing effective technical schematics can make or break a project. I like to go into things knowing exactly what the requirements are and brainstorm ways to approach the same. I find designing “code” to be a very visual task that requires as much creative thought as any design process.
